The Opportunity

The Accounts Officer will work with the Finance team to ensure the preparing of timely and accurate reporting from the various finance sections including Accounts Payable and Receivable.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to work with the Finance team to ensure the preparing of timely and accurate reporting from the various finance sections including Accounts Payable and Receivable.

Key duties of this role are:

  • Processing of invoices in using Workplace.
  • Performing cheque runs and EFT payments.
  • Perform monthly budget analysis and reviews.
  • Process and reconcile receipts and the daily bank statements
  • Receipt and bank money rising from invoices and credit notes as required.
  • Process transactions and maintain the accounts receivable ledger.
  • Perform monthly budget analysis and reviews.
  • Perform month end journal entries.
  • Manage monthly work papers.

The Successful Person will have

  • Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and/or a web-based procurement system would be ideal but not essential.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to meet and work towards deadlines.
