This pivotal role will support the successful delivery of strategic cyber initiatives, driving improvements in digital safety frameworks, business processes, and operational efficiency across the University.

About the Role

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will:

  • Lead the analysis, requirements gathering, and re-engineering of business processes for cyber-related programs and initiatives.
  • Prepare comprehensive business cases, requirements, epics, and user stories.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to ensure secure, effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the uplift of business analysis practices and frameworks, including Agile methodologies.
  • Facilitate workshops and forums to address business challenges and drive process improvements.

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Projects and Business Analysis and will play a key part in shaping the University's digital security landscape.

About You

You will be a highly skilled business analyst with:

  • Postgraduate qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience.
  • Strong experience delivering cybersecurity initiatives, working with multidisciplinary teams to manage risk and ensure compliance.
  • Proven ability in business process re-engineering, system integration, and developing business cases (including financial modelling).
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.

Desirable skills include knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, ACSC Essential Eight), data protection and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, APPs), and familiarity with higher education sector processes.
