We are home to the largest cancer research enterprise in Australia and provide treatment to around 40,000 people with cancer each year. Welcoming people from a wide variety of different backgrounds and experiences is critical to fostering innovation, compassion and excellence, and providing the best possible cancer care for our patients.

About the Foundation

The Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation is the fundraising arm of Peter Mac. The Foundation accelerates life-saving cancer research by providing critical funding for innovative projects, enabling researchers to discover new ways to prevent, detect and treat cancer. Donor support empowers our people to translate breakthroughs from the lab into real-world treatments that improve outcomes for patients and their families.

About the role

The Foundation is seeking an experienced Fundraising Coordinator to support our donor and income growth. In this role you will be responsible for achieving acquisition targets of regular givers (monthly donors), through face-to-face (F2F), telemarketing and digital channels. You'll also be responsible for executing and improving activities to retain regular givers, including donor care and declines communications, and upgrade and reactivation campaigns.

Key responsibilities will see you:

  • Manage the F2F acquisition program, including supplier targets, contract compliance, recruiter quality, and donor interactions
  • Oversee program administration such as sales, batch, invoice reconciliation, and day-to-day stakeholder management
  • Coordinate and develop regular giving collateral and communications across direct mail, digital, and telemarketing channels
  • Deliver data-driven insights and analysis to support acquisition, retention, delinquency management, and ROI optimisation

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an inclusive, values-driven, impactful organisation, where your contribution will directly help fund life-saving cancer research

About you

You will be someone with excellent communication, collaboration and negotiation skills, who is able to build strong partnerships and deliver programs that inspire lasting donor support.

You'll bring to this role:

  • Demonstrated fundraising experience, with experience and proven success in direct marketing or regular giving fundraising
  • Sound knowledge of databases, preferably fundraising databases, in particular Blackbaud CRM
  • Excellent program reporting and analytical abilities, especially in regular giving
  • Sound knowledge of fundraising legislation, practices and philosophy of charitable giving
