We're presently on the lookout for a proficient Rides Engineering Assistant Manager with solid management skills, technical & administration skills and ability to plan/schedule. Ideally from a manufacturing or farming background, to lead and strengthen our Rides Engineering team. About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Manager to join our leadership team and help keep the fun safe This pivotal role ensures our theme park operates to the highest safety standards, while meeting all compliance obligations under Queensland legislation for major amusement parks.

The successful candidate will oversee our Safety Management System, manage our Safety Case, and lead risk, compliance, and emergency management strategies across the park.

This is a unique opportunity to combine technical expertise with people leadership in one of Queensland's most exciting industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the park's Risk and Safety Management Framework.
• Effectively manage the three components of Risk Governance: Governance, Risk and Compliance.
• Ensure full regulatory compliance with Queensland WHS laws, AS 3533 standards, and Major Amusement Park Licence requirements.
• Lead and oversee the development of risk-based and process-driven Safety Management System, Standards and Procedures.
• Liaise with Queensland Workplace Health and Safety regulator and inspector
• Investigate amusement ride incidents and review bulletins, implement corrective actions, and maintain compliance records.
• Lead the Safety Case Focus Group, includes meeting, agenda and actions plan
• Oversee maintenance and inspection compliance for amusement devices.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all teams.

What We're Looking For

• Tertiary qualification in Risk, Safety, Compliance, Engineering or proven experience in senior roles across compliance, risk management and assurance.
• Strong knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation and AS 3533 (Amusement Devices).
• Experience developing and managing a Safety Case for a major amusement park or high-risk environment, such as a Major Hazard Facilities.
• Technical understanding of amusement device inspection and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to engage with regulators, auditors, and stakeholders.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Aviation industry experience or background highly desirable – particularly in risk management, compliance, and safety systems.
