Shinagawa Refractories Australasia is a global provider of Thermal Solutions, and provides a range of products to heavy industry, particularly for furnace linings in the steel, aluminium, and cement manufacturing industries. Employing approximately 100 people, with manufacturing operations in Unanderra NSW, Kwinana WA and New Zealand.  

The Unanderra plant manufactures refractory products and consists of the production team of approx. 20x people, and consists of crushers, screens, blenders, mixers, conveyors and packaging equipment.

The ideal candidate will provide hands-on leadership to the Production team on a day-to-day basis to ensure safe & efficient operation of the equipment and materials to produce high quality products on schedule, and correct specification.

The Role

We are looking for a practical, hands-on Operations/Production Supervisor to join this globally recognised, industry-leading manufacturer. In this role, you will oversee daily production activities and ensure operations run safely and efficiently while fostering a collaborative team environment. Working closely with your team, you'll apply strong leadership and effective problem-solving skills to maintain high levels of productivity, safety, and quality.

You

  • Experience in Production / Operations Leadership in a relevant environment (ideally industrial manufacturing, cement, raw materials processing, chemical processing)
  • Effective problem-solving skills, attention to detail and have a mechanical aptitude.
  • High level of people skills with an ability to develop and improve team performance.
  • Strong safety focus.
