About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Civil Labourer / Road Worker (Grade 3) to join a busy maintenance crew based in Wollongong area. The role involves hands-on work in road repairs, general labouring, and traffic control across local worksites. This position suits someone who enjoys outdoor, physical work and is looking to be part of a steady and supportive team.
Contract Details:
- Civil Labourer / Road Worker - $42.43/hr + Plus Super
- Location: Wollongong area NSW
- Hours: 7:00am - 4:00pm, 9-day fortnight
- Duration: Until 21 December 2025 (potential for extension)
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general labouring duties including road patching, pothole repairs, and surface maintenance
- Operate and maintain small tools, plant, and equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with traffic control and pedestrian management around active worksites
- Perform site preparation, clean-up, and material handling
- Follow safe work procedures and maintain compliance with all site safety requirements
- Work collaboratively with other crew members to complete assigned tasks on time
- Report hazards, defects, or incidents promptly to the supervisor
- Support the delivery of minor civil projects and routine maintenance programs
About You
- Previous experience in civil labouring, road maintenance, or construction environments
- Must hold a White Card, Traffic control
- Willing to obtain Traffic Control and Workers on Foot
- MR Truck Licence preferred but not essential
- Strong awareness of safety standards and site protocols
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working both independently and as part of a small crew
- Must have valid Australian working rights (Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or long-term visa holder). Sponsorship is not available for this role.
