We're now looking for a dedicated Sous Chef to join our growing team and help lead the next chapter of Apple Tree Catering's success.

About the Role

As our Sous Chef, you'll play a key leadership role in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen. You'll work alongside the Executive Chef to ensure our menus are executed to a high standard — from preparation through to presentation — and that every dish shows off our passion for great food and good times.

·  Assisting the Executive Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations.

·  Preparing, cooking, and presenting fresh, delicious food for a range of events and functions.

· Supporting menu planning, ordering, stock control, and rostering to keep everything running smoothly.

· Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety at all times.

·  Leading, mentoring, and supporting kitchen and catering team members to bring out their best.

· Promoting a positive, collaborative, and respectful team environment where everyone feels valued.

About You

You're an experienced and passionate chef who thrives in a team. You love the buzz of a busy kitchen, the creativity that comes with every menu, and the satisfaction of seeing people enjoy what you've created. You take pride in every detail — from prepping the

perfect platter to nailing that final garnish — because for you, food isn't just food. It's connection, celebration, and care all rolled into one.

You'll Bring:

·  Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Cook, ideally in catering or events.

·  Strong leadership and communication skills (and maybe a few good dad jokes).

·  A hands-on, can-do attitude and the ability to stay cool when things heat up.

·  Great attention to detail and a creative eye for presentation.

·  Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience).

·    Food Safety Supervisor certification (bonus points if you've got it).
