About the role

Rapid Demolition is seeking an experienced House Demolition Operator to join our team in Wollongong and the South Coast, NSW. This full-time role is responsible for operating heavy machinery to efficiently and safely demolish residential properties in the local area. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital part in supporting our company's growth and commitment to sustainable development.

What you'll be doing

  1. Operate specialised demolition equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders to systematically dismantle buildings
  2. Ensure all demolition activities are carried out in compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  3. Sort and segregate demolition materials for recycling or proper disposal
  4. Provide on-site supervision and support to the wider demolition crew
  5. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our demolition processes and procedures

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years' experience as a House Demolition Operator
  2. Proficient in the operation of excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other heavy demolition equipment
  3. Strong understanding of safe work practices and environmental regulations for demolition projects
  4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges on-site
  5. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions from site supervisors
  6. Relevant construction industry certifications, such as a High-Risk Work Licence, would be highly regarded
