Price Gibson Chartered Accountants is a well-established accounting practice located in Melbourne's South Eastern suburbs. We work with a wide range of Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) clients across diverse industries and locations.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this client-facing role, you will work directly with clients and our accountants, manage day-to-day bookkeeping, and ensure client files are accurate and complete, ready for tax compliance and advisory work.


About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working directly on client files across a range of industries
  • Managing client relationships and providing first-class support
  • Reviewing client data files and performing reconciliations (predominantly Xero).
  • Setting up and implementing new data files, including bank feeds and allocation rules
  • Providing training to clients and internal staff on accounting software
  • Processing payroll and superannuation, including STP compliance
  • Preparing and lodging BAS's and completing GST reconciliations
  • Producing quarterly management reports and ongoing cloud file reviews
  • Reconciling accounts and preparing files for accountant review
  • General data entry and bookkeeping administration as required
  • Occasional travel to client premises (as needed)

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced: Minimum 2+ years' bookkeeping experience in a similar role
  • Technically confident: Skilled in MYOB (AccountRight & Essentials), Xero, Reckon and Microsoft Office
  • Detail-oriented: Accurate, organised and proactive in problem solving
  • Client-focused: Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong client relationships
  • Able to manage deadlines and work independently while collaborating with our team
