About the role

Accounting firm is seeking a full-time or part-time Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant 3 to 5 days per week to join our dynamic team in Carrum Downs, VIC. As a key member of our Accounting department, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients' financial operations and ensuring their continued success.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients, including bookkeeping, data entry, and bank reconciliations
  • processing payrolls for clients
  • Liaising with clients to address queries and provide exceptional customer service
  • Assisting with the preparation of BAS, and other reporting requirements
  • Providing administrative support to the accounting team as needed

What we're looking for

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a bookkeeping or assistant accountant role
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks)
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to providing exceptional client service
