About you

We are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience, ideally in public practice bookkeeping
  • Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel in particular, Xero, QuickBooks Online, and MYOB. Experience using HandiSoft is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with the ATO portal, payroll processing, and current GST and BAS/IAS reporting
  • Confident in client-facing roles, with excellent multitasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
About the role

As a Bookkeeper at Highview you will assist clients with their bookkeeping needs including:

  • Preparation and lodgment of BAS and IAS returns
  • End of month processing and reporting
  • Bank reconciliations and day to day recording of financial transactions
  • Wage, Single Touch Payroll and general payroll processing
  • Liaising with the ATO
  • Transitioning to automated cloud-based software including setup and training
  • Handling technical and software related queries
