DG Accounting is a family owned CPA firm located in Ringwood (walking distance from Heatherdale station) offering a wide range of accounting & taxation services to a diverse client base. The successful candidate will work closely with the Partner.

About the position :

  • Preparing and lodging Business Activity Statements & Instalment Activity Statements with Australian Tax Office and complying with the relevant laws;
  • Preparing and lodging Company, Trust, Partnership & Individual Tax Returns with Australian Tax Office;
  • Liaising with client to collect payroll information, preparing monthly Payroll, and sending Payslips;
  • Collecting inputs and assist in preparing Financial Statements for Company, Trust, Partnership & Individuals;
  • Using accounting software to record journal entries and conducting bookkeeping activities;
  • Dealing with various state and federal authorities on statutory compliances;
  • To prepare workpapers and checklists for other compliance activities;
  • Helping client in their secretarial compliance due dates and lodgements; and
  • Advising clients on other taxation, payroll, financial reporting and corporate secretarial matters

The skill set we are looking for :

  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax law - GST & income tax in particular
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Previous experience working in an in-house tax role will be beneficial
  • Completion of a tertiary degree is a must;
  • Familiar with LodgeIT/Quickbooks/Xero an advantage;
