EHS Professional - Contract Position (6 Months + Potential Extension)

Location: Dandenong South

Contract Duration: 6 months with potential for extension

Reports to: Head of Supply Chain and EHS

About the Role: We're seeking an experienced EHS professional to join our team on a contract basis to drive critical safety and compliance initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by developing sustainable EHS systems and strengthening our emergency preparedness capabilities.

Key Project Objectives:

  • Document and establish a comprehensive, sustainable EHS management system
  • Document Emergency Response Plans across our operations
  • Ensure full compliance with current Australian legislation and building standards
  • Support continuous improvement in workplace health and safety practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed EHS excellence

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an EHS Manager or similar senior safety role
  • Minimum 5-8 years of EHS management experience required
  • Thorough understanding of current Australian EHS legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of building standards and compliance frameworks
  • Strong documentation and system development skills
  • Experience developing Emergency Response Plans and crisis management procedures
  • Australian work rights required for this contract position
  • Degree in relevant field required

Highly Desirable:

  • Background in food manufacturing environments
  • Understanding of food industry-specific safety and hygiene requirements
  • Experience with hazard analysis and risk management in production settings
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, SQF, BRC)
