A S Harrison & Co. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join our Shared Services team. This is your opportunity to contribute to the financial integrity of a leading specialty chemical additives business, supporting operations across Australia and New Zealand.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance across A S Harrison & Co. You'll manage core accounting functions, support statutory obligations, and collaborate with internal teams to drive financial excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts receivable processes for the business.
  • Lead month-end close activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Oversee capex, cost management, and depreciation accounting.
  • Handle cash management including FX and hedging transactions.
  • Ensure timely lodgement of FBT, GST, and other statutory requirements.
  • Participate in finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
ABOUT YOU:

You're a team player with a strong eye for detail and a passion for financial accuracy. You thrive in deadline-driven environments and enjoy collaborating across departments.

What You'll Bring:

  • Degree in Accounting and CPA qualified or working towards CPA.
  • 3–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems and payroll processes.
  • Strong communication skills and document management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and within established authority limits.
