About the role

We are seeking a Payroll Administration Officer to join our team at North Ryde RSL Community Club LTD. This is a part-time position (3 days per week), offering the opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Payroll Administration Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our valued employees.

What you'll be doing

  1. Accurately process weekly payroll for all employees, including calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions
  2. Maintain employee payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
  3. Interpret and apply the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award where required
  4. Liaise with the People & Culture team to ensure seamless communication and the timely resolution of any payroll-related queries or issues
  5. Assist with the preparation of payroll reports, statistics, and other documentation as required
  6. Provide exceptional customer service to all employees, addressing their payroll-related concerns promptly and effectively
  7. Continuously look for ways to improve payroll processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy

What we're looking for

  1. Relevant studies in Accounting, Payroll, or a related field
  2. Minimum 4-5 years' experience in a payroll administration role, preferably in the hospitality
  3. Experience in interpreting the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award is preferable
  4. Proficient in the use of payroll software (ideally Found U) and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  5. Excellent attention to detail and a strong aptitude for numerical and analytical work
  6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with employees at all levels
  7. Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
  8. Thorough understanding of payroll-related legislation and regulations
