We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team in Sydney. In this role, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end payroll processing for our Australian employees, ensuring compliance with legislation while providing responsive, professional payroll support to staff and managers.
This role is part-time working 22 hours per week - we are flexible on what days.
What You'll Do
- Process accurate and timely payroll in line with company schedules
- Maintain payroll data for starters, leavers, salary changes, allowances, and deductions
- Ensure compliance with Fair Work, Awards/EBAs, superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax obligations
- Reconcile superannuation, PAYG, and leave balances
- Act as the first point of contact for payroll queries, providing clear and professional advice
- Prepare reports for HR, Finance, and statutory purposes
- Contribute to payroll system improvements and audits
What You'll Bring
- 2–3 years' experience in Australian payroll administration
- Strong working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and Fair Work requirements
- Experience with payroll systems such as MicrOpay, ADP, SAP, or Chris21
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Certificate IV in Payroll Administration, HR, or Accounting (desirable)
