We have several Part Time positions available in the Gold Coast area and we are looking for experienced and licensed Security Officers who are passionate about delivering a great experience to our customers with every interaction.

About the roles

Security officer

The position is primarily responsible for providing a manned security overlay as part of an asset protection team and dealing with members of the public. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will also build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders.

We have a variety of day and night shifts available. For example: hrs; hrs; hrs and more. 24-40hrs per week on a permanent part time basis.

Duties include, but are not limited to:


• Asset protection and maintaining a safe environment for customers, visitors and staff


• Observing and reporting all activities associated with asset protection and site safety


• Enforcing rules and policies including moving people on where necessary


• Maintaining logs and records of occurrences, completing necessary paperwork, and using computer terminal to input and retrieve data


• Providing information, directions, explaining policies to customers, contractors etc


• Sound knowledge of the asset including associated buildings, access routes and access permit requirements for contractors etc

Duties include, but are not limited to:

· Observe and report

· Patrol premises

· Hazard identification and reportinn

· Monitoring/use of CCTV systems on a large scale

· Incident reporting processes

· Access control-swipe card-control-issuing

· Maintaining logbook/registers

· Use of electronic controlling systems

· Use of Fire Control Systems/Platforms

· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite to conduct daily tasks.

· Attention to Detail

· Perform various admin tasks

· Knowledge of Milestone software would be highly regarded.

To be successful in these roles, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:


• Hold a current QLD Security Licence with Unarmed, Monitoring and Crowd Control function


• Be able to walk and stand for long periods.


• Current Senior First Aid certificate


• Exceptional communication, both verbal and written


• Ability to complete precise reports and communicate efficiently


• Excellent Computer skills using Microsoft Office products


• Appropriate professional presentation


• Work as part of a team


• Great communication skills


• Control room experience and skills operating Milestone CCTV system will be highly regarded
