Compliance Manager

**The role**

Join Auto & General’s high-performing Compliance team as we continue to strengthen our risk and compliance capability. This senior leadership role is responsible leading and driving our incident and breach management frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (ASIC, APRA, OAIC) while maintaining best practice across the business.

As the Manager - Incident Management, you’ll partner with specialists, legal partners, and senior leaders to provide oversight of incidents, and shape a culture of transparency and accountability. You’ll also play a critical role in supporting the Compliance team in determining reportable incidents or breaches and assisting senior management in preparing regulatory submissions and notifications. This is a pivotal opportunity to influence outcomes that safeguard the business and support the sustainable growth of one of Australia’s fastest-growing insurers.

**Position Accountabilities**

In this role, you’ll:

- Lead the development, maintenance, and continual improvement of our incident management framework.
- Oversee the effective handling and resolution of incidents across the group.
- Facilitate breach forums and committees, working closely with Legal to assess and determine significant incidents.
- Support the Compliance team in assessing incidents and determining breaches and reportable situations.
- Provide clear and timely reporting to executive and board-level committees, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Champion education, and awareness programs that embed proactive incident management practices organisation-wide.

**What experience you’ll bring**

We’re seeking someone with:

- 5+ years in insurance operations, ideally with compliance and/or legal experience.
- Strong knowledge of risk management systems and industry frameworks.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (compliance, legal, risk, or audit qualifications highly regarded).
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to drive discussions at senior levels

**Location -Toowong**
