At Rouse Hill Family Vets, we're looking for a warm, motivated individual to join our front-of-house team. If you've worked in retail, hospitality, customer service or admin—and you love animals—this could be the perfect opportunity to start a meaningful career in the veterinary industry.

We'll provide full training in all aspects of vet reception. What we're looking for is someone who is friendly, calm under pressure, and genuinely enjoys helping people.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Answering phones, emails, texts, and social media messages
  • Booking appointments and managing the daily schedule
  • Welcoming clients and checking in patients
  • Processing payments and assisting with GapOnly insurance claims
  • Providing Fear Free tips and a great client experience

This is a client-facing role where your empathy, professionalism, and clear communication will make a real difference to pet owners.

About You

You don't need veterinary experience—but you do need:

  • Customer service experience (retail, hospitality, Macca's, call centre, etc.)
  • A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in any industry is required
  • A friendly phone manner and great communication skills
  • Confidence using computers and learning new systems
  • A calm, empathetic approach—even in stressful moments
  • A love for animals and interest in a long-term career in vet care
  • Reliability, organisation, and a great team attitude
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position
