Growing construction company, working on new build projects across Sydney.

Our client is a growing commercial building & construction company, who are known for their high-quality practices. They are now seeking an experienced
Junior/Estimator
to join their team.

As the Estimator you'll be joining a thriving business within an already 3 person estimating team where you be responsible for working across numerous tenders in the new build sector valued between $3m-$10m+. You will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of challenging projects.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on commercial construction tenders or of a fit-out, refurb, or upgrade nature. Clients are private sector as well as government and will be working multiple projects with individual projects up to about $10m+.

The role will be a head office-based role and is a 5 day a week role.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Prepare and check subcontract packages
  • Negotiate and review subcontract tenders
  • Produce and maintain a procurement schedule that matches the program
  • Preparation of accurate payment schedules
  • Set up and maintain job files, drawing and contract registers, sample boards and shop drawing registers
  • Assist in management and tracking of project expenditure against budget

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction or similar
  • Minimum 1 – 5+ years' experience
  • Strong financial analysis and administrative focus
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
