Precision Metal Group (PMG) is a strong, growing viable business based at Wetherill Park. Our clients range from Government and private covering sectors in Defence, Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, Maritime, Manufacturing and Construction to name a few.

About the role

This is a Full-time position Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm, with Shutdowns and overtime opportunities, with the possibility of covering or going on 12-hour rotating shift work.

Primary duties will be to provide mechanical support the day to day running of the factory to meet safety & plant performance objectives.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Fitting and machining
  • Preventative and breakdown maintenance
  • Welding and fabrication
  • General equipment maintenance
  • Read and understand mechanical and workshop drawings, work orders and production schedules
  • Completion of jobs in a quick, efficient, and accurate manner with high attention to detail
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area
  • Flexibility to perform other duties within the manufacturing environment when required

About you and your skills:

  • Mechanical Trade qualifications
  • At least 5 years plant and maintenance experience
  • Current Forklift license and Yellow Card
  • Current Working at Heights & Confined Space tickets
  • Excellent communication skills when dealing with customers
  • Good fault-finding & problem-solving skill
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Strong focus on safety in the workplace
  • Have own transport and tools
