We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our team.

About the role

Due to current and planned increased growth in our manufacturing business, Momentum Industrial, we are seeking quality staff in a Mechanical Fitter role.

Primary Duties:

  • Fitting of New Equipment inc. Conveyors. Packaging Machinery and General Engineering
  • Maintenance work required on request
  • Perform assigned duties in a timely and safe manner
  • Co-ordinate and work in a team environment
  • Maintain and use equipment as designed
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work
  • Identify and recommend continuous improvement initiatives
  • Have your own tools to complete jobs

Skills:

  • Ability to complete tasks efficiently to a high-quality standard
  • Ability to comfortably read and understand workshop drawings
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to understand and follow oral or written instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to observe proper safety precautions
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees, leading hands, supervisors, managers
  • Ability to perform heavy manual tasks
  • Ability to evaluate and implement appropriate work methods
