Brief Description
The role
We're looking for a Senior Analyst Policy & Frameworks to join our Group Risk team. In this role, you'll play a key part in strengthening and enhancing our risk related policies, guidelines, and frameworks, making sure they not only meet regulatory requirements but are also practical and well embedded across the business.
You'll be the go-to person for maintaining our Policy Governance Framework and ensuring that documents are up to date, aligned to industry standards, and easily accessible to the people who need them. Your work will directly support our leaders, committees, and stakeholders in making informed decisions and managing risk effectively.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on structure, detail, and continuous improvement (and who enjoys working collaboratively across different parts of the business).
Position Accountabilities
In this role, you will:
- Keep our Policy Governance Framework sharp, effective, and up to date.
- Work with leaders to ensure policies meet regulatory standards (APRA, ASIC, ICA).
- Manage our policy register and keep documentation clear, current, and accessible.
- Create guidance, templates, and reporting that make policy implementation seamless.
- Provide meaningful insights to committees and stakeholders.
What Experience You'll Bring
- Proven experience (5+ years) in risk policy management, ideally within financial services.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders.
- Strategic thinking combined with strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering outcomes with accuracy and timeliness.
- Experience preparing and presenting high quality risk insights and reports.
- A solid understanding of APRA regulations and risk frameworks.
- General insurance industry experience (highly regarded but not essential).
Location –Toowong
Close to a variety of public transport and easy parking options, the Toowong office has excellent end of trip facilities (including secure bike storage and showers), outdoor spaces and plenty of modern collaborative areas to work and connect with colleagues.
Conveniently based at Toowong Village tower with views of the mountains and the Brisbane River, our location is only 4 km from the city and provides access to retail, restaurants and other amenities.
