The Opportunity
KBR is seeking expressions of interest from experienced
Senior Configuration Analysts
to support key Defence capability programs in
Brisbane or Canberra
.
As a

to Defence, KBR is at the forefront of delivering engineering, logistics, and technical solutions that underpin Australia's national security. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a high-performing, cross-functional team working on complex and meaningful Defence projects.
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of Configuration Management (CM) processes and frameworks in alignment with Defence policies and standards (e.g., DEF(AUST
- Manage Configuration Items (CIs) across the capability lifecycle, ensuring traceability, status accounting, and configuration audits.
- Support engineering and program teams in the identification, control, and verification of system baselines and changes.
- Maintain and enhance the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and associated registers.
- Prepare and review CM documentation such as Configuration Management Plans (CMPs), change control records, and baseline reports.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior configuration analysts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the CM function.
- Engage and liaise with stakeholders, SPOs, contractors, and other MSP partners to ensure effective configuration governance.
As The Ideal Candidate You Will Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Information Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Configuration Management within a Defence or complex, regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of Defence standards, CM tools (e.g. DOORS, Teamcenter, CMPro), and change management frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage configuration control boards (CCBs), baseline reviews, and audits.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to work across disciplines and build stakeholder trust.
- Australian Citizenship is essential to meet Defence security clearance requirements.
- Current or active NV1 security clearance highly regarded.
