The Fiscal Strategy & Financial Reporting (FSFR) group provides policy advice on the whole-of-government financial position, financial management practices, and governance. FSFR supports the State Budget process, offers guidance on complex financial arrangements , manages the preparation of whole-of-government financial reports, and provides advice on financial accountability legislation and policies. As a Senior Treasury Analyst, you will contribute to projects, undertake policy analysis, and provide accurate and concise advice on a range of financial accountability and fiscal matters. This role involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders and delivering advice tailored to specific audiences, often within tight timeframes.

In this role, you will:

• Prepare reports, submissions, briefing notes, presentations, and correspondence related to financial accountability, budget, and fiscal matters.

• Assist stakeholders in interpreting and applying whole-of-government financial management policies and guidance documents.

• Contribute to the development of whole-of-government policy and guidance material.

• Analyse and provide advice on a broad range of financial accountability and financial management issues.

• Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What experience you will bring:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial and policy information.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, tailored to various audiences.

• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outputs within tight timeframes.

• Experience in building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.

• An understanding of financial management practices, governance, and accountability frameworks is desirable but not essential.

There are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in major projects or complex commercial transactions would be highly regarded.
