About The Opportunity
As our Key Account Manager, New Business, you will identify and qualify new business opportunities and deliver sales within a selected and targeted number of key accounts and industries, making sure that our customers realise the full value of Axis Communications through our products and solutions as well as our extensive partner ecosystem.
You will be working in the field, closely with our customers, making sure that you are seen by them as a trusted adviser and partner, ensuring our common success in all projects. You will handle customer accounts daily, acting as a professional interface between those key accounts and Axis.
This position is based in Melbourne, Australia. The role will have an inherent requirement to travel domestically with some international travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and sustain new growth through identifying and qualifying new opportunities through prospecting into new customers to drive sales.
- Identify, grow and maintain key relationships while developing and executing the regions sales strategies to meet or exceed targets.
- Build a pipeline of leads and project opportunities.
- Develop and execute both key account plans in accordance with the teams' strategic objectives, demand generation, KPIs and business goals.
- Demonstrate a consultative mindset, along with a value-based sales approach.
- Monthly forecasting, including opportunity and pipeline management through Salesforce and other Axis reporting systems.
- Actively participate in trade shows, seminars, webinars and other promotional sales activities representing Axis as required.
Qualification And Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Significant experience in a similar sales position
- Experience working with indirect sales, preferably in a technical sales position from the IT and/or Security industry
- Able to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Exposure in IT networking, IP-based technologies and applications, Security hardware & software solutions as well as a sound knowledge of network infrastructure an advantage
