About the Opportunity
This newly created role will sit within the central Metcash design and refurbishment. Your role will oversee a large portfolio of distribution centres across Australia. The purpose of this role is to ensure that strategic direction and standards are implemented into the operations of Metcash sites.
This role can be based in either Macquarie Park (Sydney), Truganina (Melbourne) or Crestmead (Brisbane) sites.
In this Role
• Champion facilities management standards across the entire Metcash distribution centre (DC) property portfolio
• Provide strategic and operational support to the National Construction & Facilities Manager and DC Facility Management teams
• Lead the rollout and optimisation of the myBuildings facilities management platform
• Ensure effective use of compliance and safety platforms (eg, LinkSafe and Evotix)
• Stay ahead of industry trends and integrate best practices where relevant
• Oversee legislative compliance and lease obligations across all sites
• Drive repair and maintenance projects to timely completion
• Promote cost-effective procurement and consistent practices to maximise financial efficiency
You're Likely a Match If
• Around 8-10 years of experience in Facilities Management
• Facilities management experience in industrial / warehouse and distribution centres
• High attention to detail and exceptional time management
• Outstanding stakeholder engagement abilities across various teams
• Demonstrated project management skills on med-large-scale projects
• Flexible and agile approach to work with a developing portfolio
• Regular domestic travel required
