Are you an experienced professional passionate about governance and strategic leadership? We are seeking Expressions of Interest for multiple Non-Executive Director positions to join the inaugural Board of our newly established organisation. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in guiding our direction and building a strong foundation for future success.

About the organisation

We are a newly formed not-for-profit entity with a bold vision to make a positive impact in the community services sector. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, personalised in-home support services to people with disabilities and senior citizens in and around Perth. As we establish our governance framework, we are assembling a diverse and skilled Board to provide strategic oversight and stewardship.

The Role

As a Non-Executive Director on the inaugural Board, you will:

· Contribute to the development and implementation of our strategic plan

· Ensure effective governance in line with best practice and regulatory requirements

· Provide independent advice, constructive challenge, and support to the operational team

· Champion our values and promote ethical, transparent decision-making

· Help build a strong organisational culture and reputation from the ground up

Who we're looking for

We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds who can demonstrate:

· Good understanding of corporate governance and fiduciary duties

· Strategic thinking and sound judgement

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Good technological literacy.

· Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and ethical leadership

· Previous board or leadership experience in not-for-profit, public, or private sector entities will also be highly regarded.

· Experience in at least one of the following will be highly valued:

  • Nursing

  • Allied Health

  • Finance

  • Law

  • Risk Management

  • NDIS

  • Aged Care

Commitment

Directors are expected to attend regular Board meetings (usually held quarterly), participate in relevant sub-committees, and represent the organisation at essential events. The role is voluntary, with reasonable expenses reimbursed.

The board will elect an inaugural chairperson upon establishment.
