About the role
Campbell Transport is a locally (WA) owned leading transport and freight company offering bulk haulage, general freight and multiple services to our mining clients. Operating for over 20 years, our comprehensive range of efficient commercial freight and logistics solutions has made us one of the leading transport companies in Western Australia.
We are currently seeking an Experienced Workshop Manager to join our team in Forrestdale. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of our Perth based workshop, ensuring the highest standards of vehicle maintenance and repair are consistently met.
What you'll be doing
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the workshop, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control
- Oversee a team of skilled mechanics and technicians, providing guidance, support, and performance management
- Ensure all vehicles are serviced and repaired in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders, providing updates on the status of their vehicles and resolving any issues or concerns
- Monitor inventory levels, liaising with our Parts Team to ensure the workshop is well maintained
- Ensure the workshop adheres to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
What we're looking for
- Extensive experience as a Workshop Manager or in a similar leadership role within the transport world.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems and diagnostics
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Proficient in using computerised workshop management systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Australian Certified HD Fitter Trade Qualification (Higly Desired)
- MC and Forklift license highly beneficial
