About the Role

As the first point of contact, the receptionist handles initial enquiries from individuals, stakeholders, staff, and the public, ensuring they are directed appropriately. This role requires professionalism, respect, and adherence to privacy standards in all communications.

The receptionist also provides secretariat and administrative support to the program manager and team members. Responsibilities include managing incoming and outgoing mail, coordinating client bookings, scheduling and preparing meeting rooms, and overseeing daily office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality customer service and direct enquiries as needed.
  • Foster a welcoming and professional environment for clients, visitors, and staff.
  • Manage client bookings, open and close reception, handle calls and emails, and oversee daily office tasks.
  • Provide reception support
  • Assist with additional administrative duties as needed.

About You

We are seeking a candidate who has:

  • A qualification in Administration, Business Management, or relevant experience.
  • A commitment to client-centered and trauma-informed care within a child safety framework.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and manage challenging situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High initiative, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptability to learn quickly and manage change.
  • Office management expertise with advanced computer literacy.
  • Successful applicants must also complete a National Police Check.

You must also hold:

  • A current driver's licence.
  • A Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT).
