Your new company

This prominent higher education institution is seeking an experienced Executive Support Officer to join their ICT Portfolio Services Unit (PSU). This is a 12-month contract role offering hybrid working arrangements and the opportunity to contribute to high-impact ICT initiatives.

Your new role

As Executive Support Officer, you will act as a strategic partner to multiple senior executives, providing high-level operational and advisory support across ICT services and projects. You will coordinate cross-functional activities, manage executive communications, and lead the preparation of high-quality internal and external documentation. You will also support project delivery, financial reporting, and governance processes across the ICT portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting strategic papers, briefing notes, and reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting ICT project delivery and PMO operations
  • Coordinating executive meetings, tracking actions, and managing confidential communications
  • Analysing financial and performance data to support decision-making
  • Leading or supporting operational improvement initiatives within the ICT context

What you'll need to succeed

  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior executives in ICT or technical project environments
  • Strong capability in drafting high-level communications and documentation
  • Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with ICT governance and PMO frameworks
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and certifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, SAFe) are highly desirable

What you'll get in return

This is an initial 12-month contract with the potential for extension. Working arrangements are hybrid, with typically 3 days in the office in Sydney and 2 days working from home.
