With our Australia & New Zealand headquarters based in Carrum Downs, Victoria, we're part of the Tempur Sealy International Division and responsible for the marketing, sales, and distribution of TEMPUR products to leading bedding retailers in our region.
The Opportunity
We are looking to appoint an Account Manager based in metro Brisbane to service some of our metropolitan and regional Queensland retailers. Some intrastate travel will be required.
The role of an Account Manager at TEMPUR is to build strong relationships at all levels with our retail partners by working with them to understand their unique needs and educating them on our products and services. Account Managers are continually on the lookout for ways to optimise sales results and improve performance by promoting standards of excellence in all areas.

Key Responsibilities
- To manage and build strong working relationships with retail and specialist customers.
- Implement sales and marketing initiatives which develop new and existing business.
- Act as an escalation point for our retail customers in the event of any issues, responding promptly and accurately and keeping them in the loop at all times.
- Promote stock and marketing offers to maximise sales growth.
- Maintain accurate stock records, including stock information which is used to generate re-stocking orders with retailers.
- Train and motivate retailer sales staff.
- Identify and promote opportunities to increase sales.
- Increase turnover and profitability.
Key Competencies for Success
- Account Management and/or Sales experience within a retail environment possessing the ability to achieve sales targets.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong relationship building and communications skills.
- Ability to learn and understand the products and services offered by TEMPUR Australia.
- Ability to remain flexible and adaptable as TEMPUR Australia is proactively growing and requires each of its team members to be open to change.
- Take the initiative to identify areas for improvement that will affect the quality of service offered and take action to address them.
- Take responsibility for your personal development to ensure you remain effective in your role.
- Set and achieve personal goals and targets in conjunction with your manager that stretch and develop you in your role.
