Job Description

About the role

In this role, you will be pro-actively support a designated ledger of Ampol's 70,000+ active Customer base and work with other internal stakeholders to ensure that monies owed from Ampol's monthly sales are paid on or ahead of time.

You will identify delinquent accounts and arrange prompt payment of outstanding debt whilst retaining Customer loyalty and a strong Customer relationship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer payment terms are appropriately setup in the relevant systems
  • Support the creation of bespoke reporting solutions to support on time payments
  • Perform pro-active collections activities for Customers/Merchants who have a history of late payment or who have been identified as a potential credit risk
  • Reconcile accounts to clarify or confirm overdue amounts
  • Make outbound collection calls and draft written communications to Customers/Merchants who are overdue or dishonoured
  • Process adjustments to Customer accounts in accordance with authorised requests
  • Process payments and investigate unallocated monies

Qualifications

About you

You will be a strong team player with proven ability to motivate and achieve team goals while working autonomously. As a strong communicator, you will build effective relationships to ensure a high level of collaboration is maintained across the business.

Key skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance or relevant discipline preferred
  • Experience in an accounts or receivables position
  • Experience in providing high quality customer care inbound/outbound with customer interactions
  • Willingness to learn new systems, processes and skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Strong written communication skills
