About The Role

As our Media and External Communications Advisor, you'll be truly valued for your expertise and your passion for collaborating with stakeholders to create great content that resonates.  After settling in, you'll help lead a targeted brand campaign and be involved in the release of our quarterly and annual reports. . There's a solid rhythm to the work that includes media engagement, managing our social channels, preparing content for eNews and the website, and providing communications and media advice to TIO stakeholders.

What You Will Be Doing

• External communications: daily coordination and content planning for digital communications channels. Contribute to the planning, creation, editing, publication, and promotion of high quality, accessible, plan English publications. Writing for web, social, speeches, reports, media, website, email newsletters, and campaigns.
• Media: daily coordination of media relations, including organising media interviews, writing and distributing media releases, op-eds and responses, and preparation of TIO spokespersons for media interviews with briefings, key messages, and QAs. Monitoring the media phone and inbox. Regular reporting.
• Digital, social and multimedia: daily content planning and creation, strategy coordination, monitoring, reporting and maintenance. Attending events, utilising video and photography to create content for external channels. Regularly design and produce social media graphics aligned to brand guidelines.
• Website: develop accessible web and digital content creation, update the TIO website, and drive continuous improvements
• Brand and campaigns: deliver campaign content and visual assets, engage with external contractors, and contribute to strategy, campaign content, monitoring and successful delivery of multichannel digital and brand campaigns
• Stakeholder engagement and relationships: contribute to initiatives aimed at raising awareness of the TIO scheme and other initiatives

What You Bring

• Strengths in writing, editing and proofreading for a variety of audiences and channels. Experience writing media releases, media responses, media briefings, reports, email marketing content, web content, and blogs.
• Experience developing and implementing media and communication strategies, preferably in a consumer or customer services environment.
• Demonstrated experience in media liaison, brand and reputation management, identifying and escalating risk.
• Proficient using Canva, PowerPoint, SharePoint, email marketing tools, web content management systems and media intelligence software for media monitoring and reporting.

Bonus points for multimedia and/or digital communication experience.
