We are seeking Dari, Persian (Farsi), Rohingya or Khmer speaking Disability Support Workers to join our multicultural NDIS team.

Applicants who can communicate confidently in one or more of these languages are strongly encouraged to apply. You'll be supporting clients from CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) backgrounds to promote independence, wellbeing and participation.

About the Role:

We are seeking compassionate and committed Disability Support Workers to support NDIS participants living in South-East Melbourne. You'll be working closely with participants to help them live independently and achieve their goals.

Essential Requirements:

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or relevant field
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Police clearance
  • Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
  • Right to work in Australia
  • Ready to work with both male and female participants
  • Ready to work with short notice
  • Proficiency in Khmer, Dari, Persian, Farsi or Rohingya to effectively communicate with participants who speak these languages.

  • Following care plans and documenting progress accurately

About You:

You are dedicated to empowering others and value cultural sensitivity and inclusion in care. You understand the importance of building trust and connection with participants, especially those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Highly Regarded:

  • Experience with clients with complex or psychosocial support needs
  • Understanding of NDIS processes and participant goal-setting
  • Strong communication skills, particularly with CALD communities
