The Role
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers to assist our clients in achieving their goals and maintaining their independence.
Key responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to:
- Provide direct care and support in accordance with individual service plans.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and community engagement.
- Follow health, safety, and confidentiality policies, including medication administration procedures.
- Monitor clients' well-being and report any concerns to management.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including case notes and communication logs.
- Work collaboratively with a team to ensure a smooth and consistent service experience.
- Support clients in social and recreational activities, fostering community participation.
- Attend regular team meetings and ongoing training to enhance skills and service quality.
To secure the role, we are looking for:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services (or relevant experience).
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds and/or fluency in additional languages such as Mandarin, Tagalog, or Austronesian is highly regarded.
- NDIS Worker Clearance Check and Current Police Check Certificate.
- First Aid and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Driver's License (preferred but not essential).
- Ability to perform domestic duties and cope with the physical demands of the job.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
