Provide grant management and high-level administrative support to researchers at the Molly Wardaguga Institute at Charles Darwin University (CDU)
About the Position
The Molly Wardaguga Institute for First Nations Birth Rights (Molly Institute) was established in honour of the Burarra Elder and midwife, Molly Wardaguga , who worked extensively to improve health outcomes, with a vision of returning the control of First Nations birthing services to First Nations communities. The Institute works toward Molly's vision by supporting First Nations communities to realise their aspirations for birthing, maternal and infant healthcare.
The Institute is working in partnership with the Galiwin'ku Yol?u community and stakeholders to develop Australia's first very remote Birthing on County exemplar site.
As a Senior Research Project Coordinator, you will undertake grant management related activities at various levels to support the Galiwin'ku-based team with their projects. This includes providing ongoing secretariat support to the established governance framework and ensuring compliance to research grant key deliverables and reporting requirements, including high level administration.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
- Postgraduate qualifications and/or equivalent of five years experience and/or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
- Experience in managing research grants including reporting, managing timelines and support the team to identify and achieve milestones and goals within the project.
- Demonstrating high-level administrative skills using initiative and drive with proven ability to deliver quality stakeholders support and contribution to the wider team Excellent organisation and project management skills.
- Ability to work with First Nations communities, their leaders and key stakeholders, while respecting traditional culture, values and ways of doing business.
- Demonstrated experience working with Indigenous data sovereignty principles and understanding the principles in practice in working within First Nations research.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication with the ability to report on grant outcomes

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 7. The base salary will be in the range of $93,475 to $102,606 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $109,365 to $120,049 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
