Sugar Australia has an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager to join our team on a 12 month full time parental leave contract. Based at our Macquarie Park office in Sydney, this role reports to the Regional Sales Manager – Northern and is responsible for managing key accounts while driving business development across multiple market sectors.
What you'll be doing:
As an Account Manager, you'll manage and grow customer relationships, identify new opportunities and ensure the delivery of exceptional service to our customers. You'll be responsible for:
- Managing and growing an allocated customer portfolio to meet sales targets and support business objectives.
- Acting as the first point of contact for new customer enquiries, delivering prompt and professional customer focused responses to support engagement and conversion.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including cold calling and lead follow up, primarily within personal care, home care, and complimentary healthcare sectors.
- Building strong partnerships with customers, including management, R&D, innovation, NPD, purchasing, and production to support long term business growth.
- Developing and executing strategic customer and product plans that position Wilmar Ingredients as the supplier of choice.
- Using CRM tools such as Salesforce to capture customer feedback and interactions, market intelligence, and sales activity reports.
- Monitoring competitor activities and implementing strategies to maintain market position.
- Preparing and presenting monthly reports on business activity and financial performance.
- Collaborating with internal teams, including Customer Service, Logistics, Quality, and Technical to support account delivery.
- Contributing to sales meetings and providing insights into market trends and growth opportunities.
What you'll bring:
We're looking for a proactive and customer focused professional who enjoys building long term relationships and delivering results. You'll bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in ingredient B2B sales.
- Proven account management and B2B sales experience.
- Experience within the food ingredient, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or personal care industries.
- Strong communication, influencing and relationship building skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent time management, prioritisation and multitasking skills, with strong attention to detail.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and exposure to CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
- A collaborative, solutions focused mindset and a passion for customer service.
