About the role 

We are seeking a talented Chef/Cook to join our team at Cauldron Distillery on Tamborine Mountain. This is a full-time position, working hours are predominately during the day with weekends essential. You will play a key role in crafting delicious meals to complement our premium distillery offerings. As a passionate culinary professional, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality dishes that showcase the finest local produce.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items and refine existing recipes
  • Ensure consistently high standards of food preparation, presentation and taste
  • Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture

What we're looking for

  • Significant experience as a Chef/Cook, ideally in a similar hospitality or food service environment
  • Formal culinary training or qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  • Experience with stock ordering and inventory management
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Passion for using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, including those grown on the property
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
