Our kitchen works at a fast pace and work schedules will include weekends for breakfast and lunch, so early starts and early finishes 

You will need to be passionate about food, career driven and a team player.  

Training for an apprentice cook covers basic culinary skills, knife skills, knowledge of ingredients, use of commercial equipment and kitchen procedures. 

Your main duties will include but not limited to: 

  • Assisting the chef in the preparation and cooking of meals. 
  • Training to learn procedures and duties in food preparation. 
  • Working under the supervision of the chef. 
  • Operating commercial cooking equipment such as mixers, steamers, fryers, ovens and stoves. 
  • Serves food when required. 
  • Kitchen cleaning, such as dish washing and equipment cleaning, sanitation. 
  • Assists in other areas of food preparation and storage. 

About you: 

  • Have a passion for the food industry. 
  • Be punctual & reliable. 
  • Have flexibility to work different shifts. 
  • Be well presented. 

Our restaurant is located on Bribie Island, so access to a vehicle and licence is strongly considered but not crucial if you have the support to get to there. Unfortunately there is no public transport nearby that takes you to location.
