The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Centre Cook / Chef to join our wonderful team at our new Elizabeth North Centre. This role is perfect for someone who loves preparing nutritious, delicious food for young children and wants to be part of a supportive, family-focused environment.

As our Centre Cook, you will play a key role in promoting healthy eating habits and supporting each child's wellbeing through balanced meals and positive mealtime experiences.

What You'll Do

  • Plan and prepare healthy, child-friendly meals and snacks for children aged 0-6 years
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen in line with food safety regulations
  • Cater thoughtfully for allergies, dietary requirements, and cultural food preferences
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and food budgets
  • Collaborate with educators to support centre-wide health and wellbeing practices
  • Contribute to children's cooking classes and promote healthy habits through fun, hands-on learning

What You'll Bring

  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience as a cook or chef in childcare, school, aged care, or similar environment (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of child nutrition and balanced menu planning
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • A warm, positive attitude and passion for preparing wholesome meals for children
