ABOUT THE ROLE

We are recruiting for a Site Manager to lead our Sunshine Coast retail photography operations to excellence. As a Site Manager you will provide critical leadership to ensure a consistently excellent experience for our customers day in, day out. You will oversee and coordinate all aspects of operations, ensuring the day-to-day operational efficiency of your site(s) and that the expected site performance and excellence standards are met. You'll be a leader, not just a manager; we're looking for someone who will enjoy motivating and driving our fun and friendly team to succeed.

High Level Accountabilities:

  • Sales and Performance Management: Lead the team to exceed sales targets, achieve records, and deliver KPIs consistent with P&L targets through daily evaluation, corrective actions, and team engagement.
  • Financial Oversight: Oversee site profitability, including monitoring P&L reports, managing wages and labour budgets, and aligning team KPIs with financial targets.
  • Stock and Operational Excellence: Determine product mix, ensure accurate stock counts/ordering, maintain service standards, and uphold operational excellence aligned with Magic Memories' benchmarks.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and retain high-quality team members while fostering a positive, high-energy culture through coaching, mentoring, and effective performance management.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Induct and train all employees, report and record incidents, and ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations
  • Customer Service and Partner Relations: Ensure delivery of benchmarked customer experiences, address online queries promptly, and maintain strong relationships with partner attraction staff and stakeholders.
  • Communication and Reporting: Ensure transparent communication with the Regional Manager, deliver timely and accurate reporting, and provide feedback to stakeholders as required.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Formulate and implement marketing policies, promote goods and services, and advise customers on product use to enhance site performance.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Proven experience in retail; formal qualification or 3+ years experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience in a management/supervisory role in a guest focused environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, target-oriented sales environment with a track record of achieving KPIs and store budgets
  • Effective communication style, able to engage at all levels from frontline operations to the senior leadership
  • Time management, prioritisation of tasks and sound decision-making skills
  • Experience in the travel, retail, tourism and/or Hospitality industry(s) is preferred
  • Tourism never sleeps, so we'll need you to be able to work weekends and school holidays
