About the Opportunity:
We are looking for Sous Chefs to join our team. Assist the Head Chef with the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and management of crew. You will be responsible for ensuring that every section of the kitchen operates to optimum efficiency by planning, organising, supervising, and coaching the team to LUCAS Restaurants' standards. You will be an enthusiastic and a highly energetic hospitality professional.
The Ideal Candidate Must Have:
- Demonstrated experience at a Sous Chef level
- Display exemplary leadership and passion for global cuisine trends
- Knowledge in and experience with Italian cuisine is advantageous
- Demonstrated effective management of diverse team
- Experience in managing and maintaining food safety program including documentation
- Experience with managing and maintaining OH&S standards and procedure
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and lead a team
- Outgoing personality and genuine interest in the day-to-day operations
- Understanding of financial budgets, food and labour costs is advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail
- Outstanding time management during preparation and service periods
- Calm and composed demeanour
- Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience
- Experience with time & attendance system, Deputy or similar, is advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
