Our client is a well-established and reputable civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated
HSEQ Advisor
to join their growing business.

Our client provides their services across the civil infrastructures sector in Sydney. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a number of challenging projects.

Types of projects include asphalt works, concrete works, draining works, landscaping and street scaping works. Typical values from $250k - $5m but can go up to $20m+.

As the
HSEQ Advisor,
you will be involved in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety management are carried out across all construction sites. Candidates can come from a Health and Safety Advisor or Manager background.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • At each stage of the projects, assist in identifying and managing high risk activities
  • Liaise with design teams and contractors in forward planning for safety and coordination of work activities
  • Carry out independent health and safety audits on all aspects of construction management
  • Prepare SWMS and ITPS
  • Plan, develop and implement reporting and communication structures to enable accurate assessment and evaluation of health and safety management performance
  • Assessment of accident, incident and near miss reporting, evaluating findings and monitoring implementation of any corrective / preventative measures
  • Attend planning and coordination reviews for day to day and long term safety planning of work activities

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Ideally a Diploma in Health & Safety or a Cert IV
  • 5 to 10+ years' experience with background in working in construction health & safety
  • Ability to thrive in high pressure, fast paced environment
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • High level of organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
