As we continue to expand, we're looking for an ambitious Business Development Lead to help us open new doors, identify opportunities and drive the next chapter of our growth.
About the Role
This is not a passive or process-driven sales role; it's a front-end growth position for someone who thrives on initiative. You'll be responsible for creating new business opportunities, starting conversations and qualifying prospects before handing them to our Directors and strategy team for conversion.
You'll work closely with the founders to build and refine our outbound approach: researching sectors, developing outreach campaigns and helping position Dugan & O'Sullivan as the go-to creative agency.
It's highly regarded if you bring existing rapport or networks within the brand, marketing or communications space particularly if you understand how creative agencies operate and can speak the language of business growth through brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential clients across a vast range of B2B and B2C industries
- Create and execute outbound outreach campaigns
- Qualify prospects against defined criteria to ensure alignment and readiness
- Schedule meetings and manage early-stage engagement on behalf of senior leadership
- Maintain CRM activity tracking and report on pipeline performance
- Collaborate with marketing and strategy teams to evolve our new business approach
About You
- You're proactive, articulate and comfortable initiating new conversations
- You demonstrate a strong understanding of the brand and marketing space
- You have strong experience in business and relationship development, outbound sales and agency growth.
- You're commercially sharp, curious and able to connect creative capability with client need
- You thrive in fast-moving environments where autonomy and accountability go hand in hand
- You understand the rhythm of agency life and the importance of follow-through
