This senior leadership role drives the growth of the Taubmans and PPG Paints portfolio in the retail channel across Australia and New Zealand, leading the Taubmans Masterbrand strategy and high-impact initiatives to deliver brand equity, market share, and sales growth.

As 2IC to the Head of Marketing ANZ, you'll develop winning strategies, lead and coach a direct report, and influence cross-functional teams to deliver against commercial and brand objectives. Partnering closely with the brand team, retail sales, and activation teams, you'll ensure excellence in execution and alignment to business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement channel plans in collaboration with channel marketing and sales to identify in-store activations and programs that drive incremental sales and profitability.
  • Lead the development and execution of pricing and value optimisation strategies in partnership with Sales, Portfolio Management, and Operations.
  • Review sales performance regularly, recommending adjustments to pricing, product mix, and promotional strategies to maximise results.
  • Develop and execute compelling short- and long-term brand and marketing plans for the Taubmans and PPG Paints portfolio in the trade/professional channels, ensuring alignment with sales strategies and business objectives.

  • Lead the creation of a 24-month rolling brand plan and contribute to the 3-year strategic roadmap, maximising brand strengths, leveraging consumer insights, and capitalising on market opportunities.
  • Lead the development and execution of integrated brand, marketing, and communication strategies for the Taubmans and PPG Paints portfolio within the trade/professional channels.
  • Implement targeted promotion, advertising, digital, and sponsorship activities, ensuring alignment with broader market context and sales strategies.
  • Drive new product development plans to meet marketing and commercial objectives, supported by insights from marketing, trade, and consumer research.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A tertiary qualification within either Marketing, Commerce, Business, Arts, Law is essential.
  • Minimum 10 years marketing or brand management experience with some B2B focus with proven record of achievement.
  • A detailed understanding of the Australian and New Zealand retail industry for FMCG or within the paint or relevant hardware categories.
  • Comfortable with all marketing disciplines including working closely with creative, design, digital & media agencies to develop outstanding advertising creative and media programs.
  • Solid commercial understanding and experience including insight into competitor and commercial strategies and activity.
