Company description:
ATTURRA OPERATIONS PTY LTD
Job description:
What you'll be doing
The Network Lead performs a dual role as both a hands-on network engineer and an operations leader, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our client's enterprise network environment.
This role is responsible for managing daily operations, leading a small technical team, driving service excellence, and acting as the main link between Atturra and customer's stakeholders at both operational and executive levels.
The role requires a leader who can not only resolve complex network issues but also confidently represent the network function to other customers' IT divisions (e.g., Helpdesk, Application Support, Infrastructure, and Business Systems), ensuring that network services align with broader IT and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring delivery against SLAs, project commitments, and business outcomes.
Serve as the champion of Atturra within our customers, and customer's advocate back into Atturra.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior executives, business leaders, and cross-functional IT teams across different clients.
Represent the network function in executive-level forums, ensuring effective communication of network performance, risks, and initiatives to non-technical stakeholders.
Develop and enforce operational policies, processes, and standards that drive efficiency and reliability.
Monitor and report on KPIs, service delivery, and incident/problem trends, providing insights and continuous improvement plans.
Manage resource allocation, escalations, and workload prioritisation to ensure stability of operations.
Contribute to strategic planning for network transformation and future technology adoption.
Technical / Engineering
Design, install, configure, and support enterprise network infrastructure (switching, routing, firewall, wireless, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN).
Maximise network performance through monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Secure network systems by implementing and enforcing security policies and firewall configurations.
Provide hands-on support for network incidents, outages, and escalations, including after-hours on-call coverage.
Deliver core network support and rollout of new solutions across customer distribution centres, stores, and head offices.
Document and own solution diagrams, standards, and technical runbooks.
Liaise with vendors, ISPs, and third parties to manage escalations and ensure effective resolution of issues.
Participate in pre-sales solution design, project planning, and implementation as required.
Working Conditions
- Based in Melbourne
- Permanent full time
Primary Responsibilities:
- Tertiary qualification in Computing, Information Science, or related discipline.
- Proven track record in executive stakeholder management, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and influence decision-making at the highest levels.
- Experience working across IT functions such as Helpdesk, Application Support, and Infrastructure, ensuring cross-team collaboration and service alignment.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in budget/resource management and service delivery reporting.
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, or Fortinet NSE are highly desirable.
Personal Attributes
- Able to balance hands-on technical work with people and stakeholder leadership.
- Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Commercially aware, with an ability to link technical outcomes to business impact.
- Confident, polished, and professional in representing Atturra Managed Services within customers.
- Passionate about continuous improvement and delivering customer success.
