Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Insight Network Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

About the Role

We're looking for a Community Lead to own the community strategy and execution that supports growing our therapist network from 25,000 to 500,000 mental health professionals worldwide. You'll build the programs, events, and partnerships that transform individual therapists into active community members and passionate advocates who naturally introduce their clients to our platform.

This role sits at the intersection of community building, growth strategy, and product feedback. You'll work on a wide range of initiatives from virtual events and online community management to strategic partnerships. You'll work closely with our product team to ensure we're building features therapists actually want, while creating the programs that drive adoption, engagement, and referrals.

About Insight Timer

Imagine a platform which could amplify something as simple as your attendance into deep transformational shifts for humanity. A place where showing up was enough. Where each individual visit combined with millions more to trigger huge waves of health and happiness around the world. What would such a platform look like? Could you even build it? And more importantly, how would you protect it from becoming another Instagram, TikTok or Twitter which magnify the very worst of us.

If we can answer these questions, we believe Insight Timer's community will emerge as one of the most important companies of the 21st century. A place - not a product - which is capable of reversing the modern day health pandemic by harmonising the human spirit before problems arise. And if we get there... well, the opportunities are endless. Imagine a modern-day renaissance where health, belonging and purpose become the new definitions of happiness for hundreds of millions of people around the world, including you.

And all you need to do… is show up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Community Roadmap: Define and execute the strategy for therapist community engagement, retention, and advocacy. Build this from the ground up with clear goals, measurements, and scalable processes.

  • Growth Programs: Design initiatives that drive therapist acquisition, activation, and referral rates. Create programs that naturally encourage therapists to recommend Insight Timer to more clients while deepening their own engagement.

  • Measurement & Analytics: Track and analyze engagement data, synthesize insights, and use them to iterate on programs based on what's working and what's not.
  • Events: Create a calendar of virtual events, webinars and wellness programming tailored to therapist needs.
  • Content Development: Partner with therapists to co-create content for the hub, for example, practice guides and client resources.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Develop partnerships with professional associations and organizations that can expand our reach and deliver value to therapists.
  • Online Communities: Build and nurture Insight Timer's presence where therapists gather online, for example on Reddit and in Facebook groups.
  • Voice of the Therapist: Work closely with our Product Team to prioritize feature requests and ensure our product roadmap reflects what therapists actually want.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years building community programs in healthcare, wellness, professional networks or supply-side marketplace environments. Specific experience with mental health professionals is preferred.
  • Growth Mindset: You understand community-led growth mechanics: referral loops, network effects, and viral growth. You've built programs that turn engaged members into advocates who naturally bring in more members.
  • Strategic Executor: You can balance strategy with hands-on execution. You develop the roadmap and then roll up your sleeves to make it happen.
  • Relationship Builder: You have high EQ. You're energized by connecting with people, building genuine relationships, and creating programs that support community members.
  • Systems Thinker: You build processes and playbooks that allow programs to scale. You're organized, detail-oriented, and can manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Excellent Communicator: You write clear and engaging copy and can articulate your strategy to both the leadership team and the therapist community.

Benefits

  • We offer competitive salaries and options.
  • The role is fully remote but you must be willing to travel to Sydney from time to time.
  • Extra leave days are available for your well-being and birthday.
  • A generous L&D budget & wellbeing bonus.
  • We host a global company retreat each year.

We dial in from all over the world, and it's important that our team is just as diverse as our community of users, customers and teachers. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, or marital, veteran, or disability status.

Even if you don't think you quite meet all of the skills listed or tick all the boxes, we'd still love to hear from you.
