  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, acting as 2IC where required.
  • Drive operational excellence through proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure security and compliance with AC3's ISO27K obligations.
  • Participate in the on-call roster for escalations and incident response.

About You

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience with carrier-level networking devices across the full lifecycle.
  • Strong technical expertise in networking and security platforms (Cisco, Palo Alto, Arista, Juniper, Checkpoint, F5).
  • Demonstrated experience with Australian carriers, transit providers, and cloud networking (AWS, Azure).
  • Proven experience with automation technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, Python, or Perl.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience engaging across all levels of an organisation.
  • Relevant certifications (Cisco CCIE, Palo Alto, Juniper, etc.) highly regarded.
  • ITIL v3 (or later) certification desirable.
