We are seeking a Network Architect to lead the design and evolution of our Data Services suite, which includes DWDM, MPLS, SD-WAN, Internet and Cloud solutions. You will play a key role in delivering resilient and future-ready architecture that leverages our fibre network and world-class infrastructure.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Network Architect who will lead and design technical solutions for Lumea's network that supports the evolving needs of telecommunications customers. The position shapes and leads our network strategy, building a strong pipeline of ideas that help grow and future-proof the network.

What You Will Be Responsible For

You will lead the end-to-end engineering of telecommunications solutions, working closely with internal teams and external partners. Your expertise in DWDM and MPLS technology will be highly valued as you design scalable and secure network architectures that meet evolving customer needs.

You will translate customer requirements into long-term engineering roadmaps, collaborate across sales, operations, and vendors, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities Include:

  • Designing and evolving fibre based network architectures that support Data Services products such as Wavelength, Carrier Ethernet, and Internet services.
  • Leading technical design reviews, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborating with vendors, including Ciena and Nokia, to manage equipment specifications, delivery, and network integration.
  • Forecasting network growth and identifying opportunities for network expansion and enhancement.
  • Providing technical leadership to cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement in network design and delivery processes.
  • Defines and executes the network strategy for asset lifecycles and up to date maintenance of each technology suite.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory, security, and safety standards.

About You

You are a technically skilled network architect with deep experience in telecommunications infrastructure. You have a proven ability to lead complex network design projects and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing innovation with operational excellence.

You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in network design and deployment, ideally including hands-on work with Ciena DWDM equipment.
  • Strong understanding of DWDM, MPLS, SD-WAN, Internet, Cloud, and Spectrum Sharing services.
  • Proven ability to design end-to-end telecommunications solutions aligned to customer needs.
  • Experience collaborating with sales teams and external vendors.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
